CHURCH AT ST ANDREW’S
Sundays are our central focal point of everyone gathering to celebrate the fullness of who God is and everything he has done. We hear the word of God together, spend time together, worship together, pray together, and grow as His Church together. This is the time when we remember who we are as the communal body of Christ - functioning with our different gifts, skills, service, and personalities. We build one another up, learn from and encourage one another, and jointly celebrate the goodness of our God.

We love to be together as church, and church members commit to an evening a week where we meet together ‘in prayer’, ‘in truth’, and ‘at table’ - focusing on this verse:
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”
Church in Prayer
It’s great to pray in community, rooted in the word of God, and so the evenings begin with a meal together followed by a reflection on a passage from the Bible. We then spend the evening in prayer, built upon the foundation of the promises of God that we find in the scriptures. This is a central part of who we are as Church, and as we devote ourselves to prayer, we grow into a Church that learns to depend upon God for everything. Church in Prayer creates space for this to happen. It grows us in our ‘leaning together’ on God, recognising Him as provider, comforter, rock, and LORD.
Church at Table
The dinner table has always been a place of fellowship. As we sit and eat together, we share in something that engages and connects regardless of who we are.
That’s why, as church, sitting around a table together and eating food is a central part of our calling. Church at table moves us as individuals into fellowship under God; a family on a journey, where there is always a space at the table. Church at Table happens in people’s homes, every other week. Groups are kept small and allow space and opportunity to invite friends along.
Church in Truth
The Word of God is deeply profound but also complex and often misunderstood. Church in truth aims to unpack these narratives, doctrines, and specific topics by digging deeper than we might normally cover on a Sunday. This is a time for meat, to sit at the feet of our great creator, our Lord Jesus, in the power of the Spirit and feed on the food that satisfies our souls.
Church in truth starts with food, followed by a themed talk. Once equipped with the teaching, we engage with what we have heard in discussion groups, bringing together all that we have learnt and been challenged by to better understand God and the Bible in community.
